У меня тяжёлый рабочий день заканчивается так поздно, что мне уже не до Инстаграма. Я думаю, как бы мне быстрее до койки добраться, до постели. Поэтому, если б честно, то сотрудники моего аппарата, администрация, конечно очень активно используют Интернет во всех его ипостасях. Но я лично практически этим не пользуюсь.

Если бы вы пользовались, какой бы ник вы бы себе выбрали? Потому что миллион эккаунтов, которые называются «Владимир Путин», «Real Владимир Путин»…

Я знаю, что всяких… полно всякий эккаунтов где-то около пяти тыщ, по-моему. Я не имею ни к одному из них никакого отношения. Так, чтобы вам и другим пользователям было понятно. То, что там пишут от моего имени – это не я. Я надеюсь, ничего дурного они там не пишут. Но, во всяком случае, это не я. Это первое.

Второе, что касается ников. Это же псевдоним. Я, как вы знаете, начинал свою работу в органах внешней разведки. Я тогда пользовался иногда, в силу необходимости технологической, псевдонимами.

Но сейчас для меня пользоваться псевдонимом – это просто нелепо. Никакого ника я бы, конечно, себе выбирать не стал. Я бы просто под своим собственным именем. Кстати говоря, на мой взгляд, это нормально было бы для всех. А чё прятаться за каким-то псевдонимом? Я в разведшколе учился когда, у меня был псевдоним Платов. Но у всех были псевдонимы, потому что работа такая, которая предполагает определённый уровень конспирации.

Но здесь-то зачем? От чего прятаться-то? Мне кажется, что наоборот, если человек делает что-то достойное, интересное, то чем он может гордиться. Наоборот, надо сказать, кому это принадлежит.

My heavy workday ends so late that I no longer feel like using Instagram. I think: how can I get to my bed faster? That’s why, to be honest, the staff of my office, the administration, uses the internet very actively in all its forms. But I personally hardly ever use it.

If you did use it, what nickname would you choose for yourself? Because there are a million accounts named ‘Vladimir Putin’, ‘Real Vladimir Putin’…

I know that there are all kinds of… I believe around five thousand accounts. I have nothing to do with any of them. Just so you and other users understand that. What they write on my behalf – that’s not me. I hope they’re not writing anything bad there. But in any case, it’s not me. That’s the first thing.

Secondly, regarding nicknames. Those are pseudonyms. As you know, I started my work in the foreign intelligence service. At that time, I sometimes used pseudonyms out of technical necessity.

But now, for me, using a pseudonym would just be ridiculous. Of course, I wouldn’t choose any nickname for myself. I would simply use my own name. By the way, in my opinion, that would be normal for everyone. What’s there to hide behind some pseudonym? When I was in spy school, I had the pseudonym Platov. But everyone had pseudonyms because the work required a certain level of secrecy.

But here, why? What’s there to hide? It seems to me that, on the contrary, if someone is doing something worthy, something interesting, then they should be proud of it. On the contrary, they should say who it belongs to.
